About UsIn the Berry Family, we share over 75 years of fishing experience between Tom, Art, and Mike Berry. Our Expertise begins with Tom berry, the patriarch of the family. He has been fishing Bass Tournaments in the local waters since the 1970’s. He is one of the original founders of Strokers Bass Club in San Diego. Along with wife, Stephanie, Tom opened his first tackle store in 1970 and then another one in 1982. Their tackle stores have supported the fishing circuit by sponsoring many bass club meetings and local tournaments over the years. In the 1980’s, Tom finished in the top 10 in the U.S. Open and stayed on top for the next 8 years. Tom passed down his skill and love for fishing to his sons, Art and Mike. When Art was jus 2 ½ years old he caught his first fish. By the time he was 8 years old he was winning local fishing tournaments with Tom. At age 16, Art fished his first U.S. Open and missed winning a bass boat by just 1/100th of an ounce. Art went on to become a very strong fisherman locally, as well as out of state. Mike was 3 years old when he caught his first fish. He helped in the tackle store after school, sitting on a stool because he wasn’t tall enough to reach the counter, while Art stocked the shelves. Mike is also a strong fisherman and takes pointers from Art while continuing in fishing competitions. He and Tom continued to fish local tournaments as a father/son team. California Swimbabes Inc. was started in March of 2006, production and sales have grown tremendously as word spreads of the great luck people are having with the products poured by California Swimbabes. With owner, Mike Berry’s skill and knowledge of swimbaits, that he has acquired in his years of fishing southern California waters searching for those exclusive giant largemouth bass and various tournaments around the country, fishing for all types of fish that could be caught on swimbaits. He and his brother Art have and are continuing to design new products for the fishing world. Art is continuing to have huge success on the FLW Tour taking a 2nd on Lake TOHO in FL. Using the Golden Shiner Baby “E”. California Swimbabes has the ability to offer the highest quality, and most advanced swimbait products on the market today. As the company grows, new and better products are being tested by the California Swimbabes design team, three new products are being tested and will be ready to be released for I-Cast 2007. CSB is also working on some new colors for the Baby E, these colors are created by the California Swimbabes Pro-Staff, this line of Signature Series products will also be at the 2007 I-Cast event..
